BJP which claims to be an anti-corruption crusader seems to be depending on the money and power of tainted mining baron, Gali Janardhan Reddy to win Karnataka Elections by hook or crook. In the second list of candidates announced last night, BJP has given tickets to nine supporters of Gali including his brother Somasekhara Reddy.
He may be made the Deputy Chief Minister if BJP goes on to win the election, according to the grapevine in Kannada Political Circles. BJP President Amit Shah in his recent Karnataka Tour went on to say BJP has got nothing to do with Gali Janardhan Reddy but now it is clear that it only means Gaali will not be given a ticket but will do everything for the party.
Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother propelled the BJP to its first-ever win in a southern state with their money and muscle power in 2008. It is appalling that BJP is using them for its political gains even after their involvement in huge scams. Currently, the wind is blowing against the Saffron Party in Karnataka and so BJP is using all the tricks in the trade to win the only state in the South where it has a considerable presence. Karnataka elections will happen on May 12th and the counting will take place on 18th.
