Thanks to the IT boom in late 90s and early 2000s, Andhra Pradesh Junta is obsessed with the IT jobs. Most of the IT industry is concentrated in and around Hyderabad. And with the state division, Seema Andhra people are looking for the IT industry to extend its sway to their region too. Nasscom, the premier organisation that represents and sets the tone for public policy for the Indian software industry has promised to support Seema Andhra to build right eco-system to attract IT industry.
“The vishakapatnam-Vijayawada belt has a good potential to garner the needs of IT industry. But the cities are being projected as second tier. With necessary branding and right infrastructure creation, the region will attract the IT investors. The tax exemptions given by the government will provide the necessary initial push-up” opined Nasscom Vice-President Rajiv Vaishnav. He also promised that NASSCOM will extended necessary help for the region to promote and project Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada region as the prime IT destination.
