Telangana Government seems to be in a severe financial crunch. The cash crunch is evident with the implementation of the government’s prestigious Rythu Bandhu scheme. The government was supposed to credit 5000 Rupees per acre for the farmers in the Kharif Season but around 40% of farmers are yet to get the money.
The scheme needed 6900 Crore this Kharif. The finance department is sitting on the bill of 3400 Crore regarding this scheme and as a result, 23,75,000 farmers are still waiting for the government assistance. The State Government is trying to get some leverage from the RBI to meet these expenses.
On the other side, there are reports coming in that the government has given verbal instructions to Tahsildars not to update the Land Records and in such a way, the beneficiaries are being cut down. To the farmers who are coming to them, the officials are saying that the records can not be updated due to technical issues in the Website.
Incidentally, even the Central Government has emulated the Rythu Bandhu scheme and launched Prime Minister Kishan Yojana which gives 6000 Rupees per annum for the farmers. Several states have also implemented similar schemes.Don't MissBollywood Not Going to Adjust for 'Sye Raa'!Chiranjeevi's dream project 'Sye Raa' is all set to hit the theatres on 2nd October...Don't MissPrabhas Hardly Sleeping & EatingA lot is riding on Prabhas and the star hero is doing everything he can...Don't MissBig Producer Exposes Mahesh Babu DirectorThe giant producer Prasad V Potluri opened up his painful experiences in the industry and...Don't MissCan Saaho Help Avoid A Major Embarrassment For Indian Cinema? The all-important week for Telugu cinema has arrived.
