Former Minister Devineni Uma is going through the worst phase of his political career. Uma who handled the crucial Water Resources ministry lost the election in his own constituency. YSR Congress government has targeted Uma big time and used to taunt him always.
But then, Uma staged a stunning comeback in the municipal elections today. He surprised everyone by bringing Kondapalli municipality into TDP. Before the election, TDP’s estimate was winning around 6-7 wards of the total 31 wards. But now, TDP and YSR Congress have managed 14 each.
The TDP rebel who contested as independent immediately joined the Cycle party in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu and tilted the contest in favor of TDP. There are two ex-officio votes – one for TDP (MP Kesineni Nani) and one for YSR Congress (Local MLA).
If there are no defections, it will be a memorable victory for TDP and Devineni Uma.
