It is known to our readers that the State Government booked a Nirbhaya case on Former Minister Ayyannapatrudu for his alleged improper comments on Narsipatnam Municipal Commissioner, Krishnaveni. There were reports that Ayyannapatrudu may be taken into Police Custody anytime.
The Former Minister approached Andhra Pradesh High Court with a Quash Petition complaining that the case is just Political Vendetta. He urged the court to strike down the case or ensure that he is not arrested until the investigation is completed.
The court asked the Police not to arrest him in the case and posted the next hearing of the case to after two weeks. It is known that the YSR Congress Government is on a spree of arresting TDP leaders in the state in the name of various cases.
Another Former Minister, Achhennaidu is already in the Judicial Remand in connection with an ESI Scam.
