Street-food-fridge-indiaIndia has a unique problem in terms of the food industry. While most of India engage in wasting food at meal times some portion of the population have to suffer to get even one meal of the day. To better gap this deficit and stop wastage of food as well, a restaurant in Kerala has come up with an interesting idea.

The restaurant in question is called Pappadavada, amd it soon becoming very popular in Kochi. As for what the restaurant does, it urges its customers and the community to put their leftover food in a refrigerator located outside of the joint for the hungry people to take. This involves a refrigerator placed outside the place which stays open 24-hours a day every day if the week.

People are asked to write the date they left the food on whatever its wrapped in and the hungry people are encouraged to take it whenever they need or want to!
