Krishna River, Krishna River New Bridge Location, Krishna River New Bridge Design, Krishna River New Bridge Vykuntapuram Damuluru Andhra Pradesh government is planning a new barrage on Krishna river will connect Amaravati from Hyderabad-Vijayawada national highway of Krishna district. Krishna River, the second prime river in Andhra Pradesh flows east and turns to the north side at Vykuntapuram hill and later returns eastward giving it the name: Uttaravahini.

This east to north and back to east, twist is considered auspicious as per Hindu belief and Vastu. Andhra Pradesh government is planning this new barrage across Krishna between Vykuntapuram of Amaravati Capital Region and Damuluru of Krishna district. This Barrage is likely to store 5 TMC water which will otherwise go waste into the sea.

This barrage at Uttara Vahini will be auspicious for Amaravati, Vaastu Pandits say. The water stored here will be helpful for the growing water needs of Amaravati. In the Capital Master Plan, Singaporean planners also suggested construction of bridges including a 3-km-long underwater tunnel on the Krishna between Vijayawada and old Amaravati in the Master Plan. This will be one of those.
