Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao shunned the old secretariat for almost nine years due to Vaastu issues. He demolished the old one and is constructing a new one in its place.
The state-of-the-art Secretariat was supposed to be inaugurated on the 17th of this month as KCR’s Birthday Special. National leaders were invited and a huge public meeting was planned on Parade grounds.
But it has been postponed now in the name of the Election Code.
Elections are happening for only two seats in Telangana. The Government can request the EC and get an exemption but the government directly postponed the inauguration increasing doubts.
A few days ago, a fire accident happened in the secretariat.
The accident happened on the fifth and sixth floors where KCR’s chamber is present. The government did not make any statement about the damage till date nor allowed the media inside.
With this postponement, there are doubts if the damage is high and hence the postponement.
