Financial Crunch Returns to Andhra PradeshAndhra Pradesh is experiencing year-end blues. As this fiscal is ending this month, pending bills are coming to various departments in heaps. There are bills pending worth 1000 Crore but then the government incomes for this month may not cross 400 Crore.

Bill Clearances are stopped for the last five days. The Finance Ministry is expecting an assistance of 2500 Crore from the Central Government by this month-end and all eyes are on that amount to clear this pending bills.

At one stage, the government thought of going for Overdraft. But then, dropped the idea since the Assembly session is going on and it would ensure unnecessary ruckus over the issue. On the other side, a team of officials are in talks with the Center to get the monetary help from unused funds.
