Out of the several improvements that AP is undergoing, Vijayawada Airport is one them and is on its finishing touch. None of the pictures of this new airport in Vijayawada has been seen so far. Finally, an image of the brand new airport had been released and it looks pretty impressive.
AP CM Naidu and Aviation Union Minister Ashok Gajaparhi Raju are going to begin the new terminal of the Airport on 12th of this month. The terminal has 18 check-in counters and can hold 500 passengers. Regular inspections and visits have been done by various officials making sure that the construction works are on their wheels.
Air transport has risen up nowadays in the state and thus creating the demand for more flight operations. According to sources, the state has experienced an hike about 44 percent in the number of air passengers which made state officials buckle up and push the airport works forward.
