Andhra Pradesh capital funding detailsCentral government had announced a 1500 Crore help for the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh. In this, the center had allotted 500 Crore for the construction of Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, Assembly and High Court buildings. Rest of the 1000 Crore is for the infrastructure development of the Capital region.

These funds are released under 94(3) section in Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Center had announced that these funds are released in the first phase and more help will be considered after the state government submits the finalized Master Plan.

It is not yet clear if these funds are including those funds allocated by Venkaiah Naidu from his Union Urban Development Ministry. If they are different, 2500 Crore before the Master Plan is definitely a good amount to begin with. On the other side, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is on a tour to Singapore to review the progress of the Master Plan which will be submitted in June.
