Finally A Donation from Jagan's Company Bharathi CementsAfter severe criticism of not donating to the state while in Crisis, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s family-owned company, Bharati Cements finally announced a donation. Bharathi Cements Corporation Private Limited (BCCPL) announced a sum of Five Crore to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

On similar lines, the employees of the companies have donated 14.5 Lakhs from their salaries. Since Chandrababu Naidu and Media Baron Ramoji Rao have also donated to the cause, Jagan has come under pressure to donate for the state and the announcement happened a little while ago.

On the other side, the Coronavirus cases in the state are increasing at a brisk pace. The state had recorded a whopping 67 cases on a single day on Wednesday taking the total cases to 111. As per the last update in the morning, another 21 cases were added taking the total to 132.

A majority of these cases are related to the Tablighi Jamaat event that happened in Delhi in mid-March.
