Telangana Government a few days ago has proposed a Film Tickets Price hike and later withdrew it. And now, Andhra Pradesh government is looking to revise the prices. In the cities, Top Class tickets which are currently at 75 Rupees and will go up to 100 Rupees.
With GST tax, the total rate will go up to 118 Rupees. Industry people have proposed 125 Rupees but then since all the tickets above 100 will be taxed 28% under GST, they withdrew the proposal. In Multiplexes, Executive Class tickets will go up to 200 while the Recliners will cost 300 Rupees.
The representatives of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce have met the officials of Finance, Home, and Revenue Departments and decided on the prices. The G.O. pertaining to the price hike will be coming out very soon.
