Railway budget Narendra Modi

Indian Railways have forayed in to social networking sites Facebook and Twitter. The official accounts were created by Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda on Monday. It is said that the accounts were created to send information fast to people in the eve of Railway budget. Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda is already on social networking sites. He has more than 12,000 followers on Twitter and over 13,000 on Facebook. He even possess a personal website.

The Railways is going to launch a new number — 022-45012222– where people can dial in and hear the Budget. Gowda will be introducing Railway Budget today. In the budget, Minister will announce Railways phone inquiries number — 139 — becoming toll free soon.

Railway Minister said, “We have given substantial emphasis to (IT) in the budget. I have dedicated a one whole page to IT in the budget,” Minister will start reading the budget at 12.00 p.m. and finish it by 1.30 p.m.
