thummala nageswara rao and kadiyam srihariThe poorly drafted Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act is proving to big headache for several aspirants in Telangana especially ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Kadiam Srihari. Both Tummala and Kadiyam need to be elected within 6 months of their swearing either to the Assembly or the council or they have to quit.

There is no clarity about MLC seats in local body quota for Telangana as there are two different numbers in the act in two different places. The mistake had to be corrected through an ordinance or amendment to the act. The file is currently pending with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Tummala Nageswar Rao will have to quit if he is not elected to the legislature by June 16, and Kadiyam Srihari by July 25. So they along with the other aspirants are very anxious for the file to be cleared. Modi is expected to look into it after his return from his ongoing visit to Europe and Canada.
