The false news of having very little government lands in Krishna and Guntur are now busted. Even Opposition leader was told there was only 30000 acres of government lands in the two districts. But Government has got exact details and they find that there are 1.45 Lakh Acres of land in the two districts. These lands are at the radius of 10 Kms from Vijayawada and Guntur cities. Most of these lands are present in the mandals close to both the cities.
Vijayawada and Nuziveedu divisions alone had 123402.81 acres of Forest lands while 14 mandals of Guntur have 21595.96 acres. Officials have found that the forest lands have rocky lands which are must haves for the construction of sky scrapper buildings. Government has ordered the officials to look in to the legal implications which will enable to use these lands for capital construction. It is said that Chandra Babu Naidu may announce the exact location of the state capital on October 2nd. On the other side, there are also talks with the farmers regarding the acquiring of the lands giving them a share in the developed lands.
