D.Malavika, a 35 year old woman,mother of two kids defrauded at least four men including an NRI with a fake profile on popular Matrimony site. She pretended to be a doctor settled in the US. She put the photo of a gorgeous girl in the profile and named it Geethanjali.
When the victims approached her, she lied that she had come to Hyderabad to claim old properties worth crores. The victims had helped her with Lakhs to fight the legal cases for assets but only to realize they are ditched.
Malavika, who was staying at Begumpet with her husband and kids was arrested by Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police. But when police took her into custody, she attempted suicide by consuming poison. And she was immediately shifted to Osmania General Hospital.Malavika’s condition is stable. Cops will arrest her once she is out of hospital.
