In an incident that caused embarrassment to the state, a fake profile of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao posted a list of the proposed new districts. The post claimed that list is the final version of the new districts.
The districts included Siddipet, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Vanaparthi, Nagar Kurnool, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Bhadrachalam among others. However, the list is not authentic or even official. As it turns out there exists several fake profiles of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Facebook and even other social media networks and also of KCR’s son KTR and daughter MP K. Kavitha
Truth is, CM’s official FB page is Telangana CMO and no other social media account is managed by the CM. Cyber crime officials stated that action will be soon taken to identify the doppelgangers and punish them. Meanwhile the announcement o formation of new districts will only be made on June 2.
