telangana-vs-andhra-pradesh-investments-no-1-top-stateAndhra Pradesh and Telangana have shared the First Spot in rankings given by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). This is regarding the implementation of the best practices to attract investments. But then the actual figures of materialized investments portray a different picture altogether.

Andhra has received 115 proposals of investment this hear. Out of which, only 58 are being implemented and the actual investment is Rs 8564 crore. In one way, it is double the investments the state garnered the last year but the numbers are still low to the expectations on the state and its leadership.

On the other side, shockingly, the everything in place Telangana fell behind the Capital less Andhra Pradesh in the investments race. Telangana received 110 proposals so far this year and the actual investments amounted only to Rs 2,202 crore which is not even a quarter of the investments materialized in Andhra Pradesh.

Both the state governments are going all-out to woo investors with uninterrupted power supply, competitive industrial policy, aggressive promotion and incentives. Telangana has set itself a target of Rs 1 lakh crore investments in 1-2 years while Andhra Pradesh has embarked on an ambitious 5-year target of Rs 12.5 lakh crore.
