Andhra-Pradesh-Deputy-CM-NArayana-SwamyOne of the main promises of YCP’s YS Jagan before the 2019 election was a complete liquor ban in the state. He vowed to make AP liquor-free if he is voted to power.

Well, it has been well over 3 and a half years since Jagan was voted to power. And let alone a liquor ban, the deputy CM has asked officials to make sure liquor revenue is improved in the state.

In his latest interaction with officials, deputy CM of AP, Narayanaswamy spoke at length with officials about the decreasing excise revenue in certain districts.

“When compared to last year, the liquor sales in Vijayanagaram, Vizag, Kadapa, and Guntur for the period April-November have gone down. In the coming months, you all should work towards generating more liquor income from these areas and make up for the shortfalls” the deputy CM said.

Narayanaswamy also asked officials to form committees to monitor irregularities in liquor sales in order to make sure the government gets its due share.

Netizens are now calling out the YCP government, saying they promised liquor ban in the state before 2019, and now after getting power, are focused on generating more liquor revenue.
