In a major shock to TRS MP, Nama Nageshwara Rao, the Enforcement Directorate has attached immovable assets worth Rs 80 crores belonging to him and those related to him.
The ED has attached 28 assets belonging to Nama and the same was confirmed a short while ago.
This is in connection with the case filed against him regarding the disproportionate allotment of funds for Ranchi Expressway construction.
The ED had started an investigation into how these funds were wrongly deposited in the accounts of the illegitimate companies set up by Nama and his people. They have now attached the assets worth Rs 80.66 crores.
It is reported that a total of Rs 361 crores were laundered in connection with this scam. Further investigation is underway now. The ED had already attached Rs 73 crore belonging to Nama and they’ve now attached another Rs 80 crore.
