It is almost certain that TDP and Janasena will fight together in 2024. The seat-sharing is something that needs to be worked out. Janasena is expecting more seats in Uttarandhra and Godavari districts anticipating the Kapu community support.
In East Godavari, the party is expecting Kakinada Rural, Rajanagaram, Amalapuram, and Razole seats.
There are rumors that Pawan Kalyan himself will fight from Kakinada Rural and will take on former minister Kurasala Kannababu. Pilli family which sailed with TDP for several years have turned inactive after 2019 due to various reasons.
Razole is the sitting seat of Janasena and the party is confident of winning it again. Gollapalli Surya Rao is TDP incharge here but there is anti towards him even in the TDP cadre. But Razole is a traditional stronghold of TDP.
Rajanagaram has Minister Jakkampudi Raja as the MLA. TDP’s Pendurthi Venkatesh won here in 2014 but lost in 2019. He is inactive in the constituency after 2019. TDP has no other leader here. Janasena is expecting this seat.
Amalapuram became a hotbed of Caste politics after Konaseema district naming controversies. Both TDP and Janasena believe they can win easily as the BCs and Kapu community have turned against the Ruling Party. Minister Pinepe Vishwaroop is representing this constituency.
Probably, TDP will be ready to leave Rajanagaram and Kakinada Rural. But it has to be seen what happens to Amalapuram and Razole.
