eamcet court order ap tsTelugu States may knock the door of courts very soon on the conduct of EAMCET this year after both the governments claim they are the legal authority to conduct Common Entrance Tests (CETS). The A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) on Monday announced the dates of all the CETs of 2015 including the EAMCET on May 10 next year but Telangana government claims it as a unilateral move.

Telangana government clarified that it had the authority according to AP Reorganization Act. APSCHE argues that APSCHE has the authority as TSCHE never existed on June 2, the appointed day of the state formation.

However TSCHE says the Reorganization Act only guarantees common admissions according to which 15 per cent non-local reservation exists but not the entrance tests. With both the governments sticking to their stands, the issue for sure will end up in courts.
