Drones to Keep a Hawkeye on Mudragada PadayatraKapu Strongman Mudragada Padmanabham is all set to take up a Padayatra from Kirlampudi to Amaravati on 26th of this month. With the Tuni arson fresh in mind, AP Police have taken strict measures to avoid any untoward incidents in this Padayatra after declining the permission.

Nearly 15 cameras equipped drones and nearly 6,000 police personnel, about 500 of them with body worn cameras, have been deployed to keep an eye on Kirlampudi, the native village of Mudragada and the hotbed of Kapu Reservations Issue.

This is the first caste based agitation in the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. As the assembly elections are just two years away, Mudragada is gearing up to increase the stir. On the other side, it has to be seen if the government will put an end to this issue given that 2019 elections are fast approaching.
