telangana high court in gacchibowliThe demand of division of high court between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is inching closer to be fulfilled. The Central Law Ministry indicated that it is ready to divide the court and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced that his government is ready to hand over a 4.9 lakh square foot multi-storeyed building for setting up of a separate HC for Telangana.

While the government did not reveal the exact location of the high court, it is said that the new high court is going to come up in the Games Village at Gachibowli which has several towers that were constructed to accommodate athletes and officials during the 2002 National Games.

The proposed building in Gachibowli is ready with all infrastructural facilities. Now the onus is on the Central government to fast track the division process. The existing high court will continue as the high court of Andhra Pradesh till Hyderabad is the common capital to both the Telugu states.
