Digvijay Singh who was an influential figure in Congress back then but now is slowly losing his sheen now. In April this year, he was relieved of the charge of Goa following the inability of the Congress to form the government and of Karnataka due to his style of functioning.
He was replaced in Telangana the other day. This brings to an end the nearly four-year stint of Digvijaya Singh as Telangana affairs in-charge. Digvijay Singh currently is the in-charge of only Andhra Pradesh but is expected to be replaced there as well.
Congress AP Unit informed AICC that having Digvijay Singh will only remind the people of the bad memories of bifurcation and needs to be replaced very soon. But then, Digvijay Singh or anyone will make no difference to Congress fortunes in AP, Political Analysts believe.
