Did This Minister Drop Any Hint About Jagan's Capital Shifting Plan? The debate about the capital of Andhra Pradesh seems to be a never-ending process. “Wherever CM Jaganmohan Reddy is, it should be considered as the Capital”, Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy made sensational remarks regarding the capital.

Speaking to media on Tuesday, he said, ” Wherever CM Jaganmohan Reddy is, it should be considered as the Capital. It could be Pulivendula or Vijayawada or it could be another area tomorrow. Wherever the CM’s residence is the Secretariat and capital will be there itself”.

“According to the Sreebagh agreement, CM Jagan has taken the decision of the three capitals. We are all committed to it,” he added. People have been deciphering this message in two ways. Some say the minister is saying that Amaravati is the capital as the CM is residing now.

Some others say Mekapati has thrown a hint that Jagan will be shifting to Vishakapatnam very soon and from then, Vishakapatnam should be considered as the capital irrespective of what courts decide.
