Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is doing everything to grab the Tirupati Loksabha seat from BJP. Pawan Kalyan seems to have unleashed ‘Kapu’ mantra on BJP to rein the coalition partner. Five Balija associations in Tirupati recently met in a garden near Chandragiri.
After the discussion, they moved a resolution that the community members would vote to NOTA in case Tirupati by-election Loksabha seat is not given to Janasena. At least 250 Balija leaders and their families attended the gathering. This sends a message to BJP that Janasena votes will not transfer to BJP if the saffron party resorts to arm-twisting tactics on Pawan Kalyan’s party.
Political experts say it is not easy for either party to show a decent performance in Tirupati due to the huge domination of the SC population which is known to be a strong support base of the YSR Congress. Moreover, the ruling party will naturally have an advantage in a by-election.
Its been more than five months since the sitting MP, Balli Durga Prasad Rao passed away and the election has to happen within six months. And so, the election notification may come anytime.
