Both TDP and YSR Congress have their own calculations about whose vote will be dent due to Janasena. Jagan always maintained that Pawan Kalyan supported TDP in 2014 elections and now he will take away his votes from TDP which means damage to the Ruling Party. Chandrababu felt that Pawan Kalyan will eat into the anti-incumbency votes.
Jagan is well aware that Pawan Kalyan may eat into the anti-government vote and tried to paint Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan as friends. Despite Pawan Kalyan severely criticizing Chandrababu, Sakshi continued its propaganda that both of them are secret allies and Jagan never referred Pawan Kalyan with his name and always called him Partner.
Right from Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Porata Yatra to the seat’s selection, Sakshi cooked various stories about how Janasena is helping TDP. Many of those stories got debunked almost immediately but having no media on its side, Janasena failed to bring them to the people. The success of Janasena will depend on the Kapu Votes and the anti-government votes it gets.
Janasena can see no future unless it crossed double digit seats and Pawan Kalyan winning both his seats. Any result worse than that will take the steam out of Janasena and may even force Pawan Kalyan back into movies. Five years is a very long time to sustain in politics. It becomes further difficult for someone like Pawan Kalyan who appears to be always short on patience.
