Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao who appeared like toeing in line with BJP in recent times, the other day, gave a stern warning to the saffron party. “కొత్త బిచ్చగాళ్లలా ప్రవర్తిస్తున్నారు.. మేం తలుచుకుంటే దుమ్ము దుమ్ము అయిపోతారు.. ఇక్కడ ఎవరు చేతులు ముడుచుకొని కూర్చోలేదు, మీలాంటి వాళ్లను చాలామందిని చూసాం,” KCR warned BJP leaders in his own style.
A day after that TRS took the support of MIM to have its Mayor and Deputy Mayor. The Car party fell marginally short of the numbers and there is so much talk that TRS will not take the support of MIM and play into the hands of BJP. It looks like KCR felt enough is enough.
MIM supported TRS’s candidates for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Now, BJP will be using the TRS – MIM plank more aggressively and it has to be seen if that will work against TRS. Hyderabad is having two women this time as Mayor and Deputy Mayor. This is the first time after the bifurcation.
The Mayor is TRS Corporator G. Vijayalakshmi (daughter of TRS Senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Keshav Rao) and the Deputy Mayor is M. Srilatha.
