The United States is still waiting for the respite from Coronavirus even though the number of cases is on a decline. Things are far from normal with 731 deaths in New York alone which makes it the highest single-day increase in the death toll since the crisis started.
New York and New Jersey are the worst-hit states even as the country registered over Four Lakh cases. Even though the attempts are on for the medicine and Vaccine, the availability will take a lot of time. So, the United States pinned all its hopes on Herd Immunity to save it from this Health Emergency.
The Government hopes the decrease in a number of cases is an indication of the Herd Immunity onset. However, scientists say that at least 60-70% of the population should be infected if there is any chance of herd immunity. They say the Government’s claims are too optimistic and early as of now.
The trials for such immunity failed in some European countries. Meanwhile, the White House preparing itself for the worst. The other day, President Trump announced that the US will have 1,10,000 ventilators at disposal by June-end. If that happens, the World will be in real bad shape.
