Jagan Government to auction government landsAndhra Pradesh High Court has made serious comments on the State Government while hearing to the petition against the sale of Government lands as a part of the Jagan Reddy Government’s Build AP mission. The Court found fault with the Government’s attitude of making funds by selling Government lands.

“We feel AP which has 1000s of Kilometers of Sea Coast has people who are rich and Government which is poor. Can you run the Government and do Development only with the sale of assets? Did the Government go bankrupt?,” the High Court questioned.

Does it make sense to sell lands through e-auction during the Lockdown? A Government should protect its lands but should not sell the lands,” the court said. The counsel representing the Government asked more time to file the Government’s response in this case.

The court posted the next hearing of the case to the 28th of this month and also instructed the Government that the further proceedings of the auction should comply with the court order in this case. These are some very insulting statements by the honorable high court.
