Dhoni-Responds-on-Retirement-RumoursFrom the past few days, there are rumors that Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be hanging his boots after Team India’s World Cup Campaign. BCCI refused to comment on this as it would create unnecessary disturbance in the team in the middle of a crucial Tournament.

However, Dhoni himself responded about it. “I do not know when I will quit Cricket. Many want me to retire even before the match with Sri Lanka,” Dhoni said. As we write this, Dhoni is keeping in the match against Sri Lanka and already took three catches and One Stumping. That means he played a role in all the four wickets that have fallen till now.

Even though he is the best Wicket Keeping Option available and one of the greatest Cricketing Brains, Dhoni’s reflexes have slowed down. Besides not striking the ball hard, Dhoni is not able to farm the strike as well as keeping the other batsmen in the Middle Order under pressure.

Dhoni has scored 223 runs in seven games at a decent strike rate of 93 plus if one goes by the scorecards but what they don’t reflect is his inability to rotate the strike and strike big. Dhoni is and will be a legendary player of Indian Cricket despite his recent form.
