Despite Criticism, Andhra Pradesh Govt Continues to Fund Jagan's Personal PropertiesDespite heavy criticism, Andhra Pradesh Government continues to fund heavily for the upkeep and new facilities at the Residences of Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The latest is that the Government released 1.2 Crore for the Annual Maintenance for Jagan’s Tadepalli Residence.

The house is not even one-year-old. Another 35.5 Lakh is sanctioned for the electrical and electromechanical works of the Chief Minister’s Lotus Pond Residence, Hyderabad. The State Government has spent almost 17 Crore so far on the Personal Residences of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The National Media also picked up the news when around 75 Lakh rupees is allotted to the installation of Aluminium Windows last month. But the Government just would not care and sanctioned another 1.6 Crore now. With the 17 Crore spent on the facilities and upkeep of the Private Properties, the Government would have built a Permanent Camp Office which would also serve the Chief Ministers going forward.

But then, Jagan would not want to undertake new construction in the Capital area which will mean he will be continuing Amaravati as the next capital of Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, the same YSR Congress used to strongly object spending money for Chandrababu Naidu’s Camp Offices.
