Telangana IT Minister, KT Rama Rao unveiled the designs of T-Hub Second Phase a little while ago in his Twitter Account. He went on to say that after unveiling India’s largest incubator, the second phase will become four times bigger. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao will lay the foundation stone for this facility very soon.
Phase 2 will be completed in less than three years. The state government has put in Rs 40 crore in the present facility (phase I at IIIT campus). This much bigger second space may cost 150 Crore and will be spread over an area of 300,000 sq ft. The state government is looking at the Center’s support and also PPP models to execute it.
The government sources say they are in discussions with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Media Labs and University of Texas (Huston) for their support for the T-Hub. According to them, the initial fund size for the project would be Rs 10 crore and eventually scaled up to USD 100 million.
