The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti seem to be focused on beating TDP (TS) to death. Already the party is reduced to ashes in the newest state of the country, but TRS is keen on hitting it further. Now the focus is on bringing the party’s lone Lok Sabha MP, Mallareddy in to the party.
Rumours are rife that he will join the party during the Telangana formation day celebrations. Mallareddy won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Malkajgiri constituency which is one of the biggest constituencies in the country. Mallareddy was initially not in favour of changing the party. But recent GHMC election results said to have changed his opinion.
Mallareddy’s relative, Maheshwaram MLA, Teegala Krishna Reddy is already in TRS, even after winning on TDP ticket. He is reportedly brokering the deal. This if true will hit the morale of the party cadre in the state. Party’s working President, Revanth Reddy is fighting a lone battle to keep their spirits up.
