BJP Mahila Morcha President Daggubati Purandeshwari contested from Rajampeta constituency in the last elections and lost. Purandeshwari is almost certain that she can not win from Rajampeta and is looking at Anantapur district in the next elections.
Anantapur and Hindupur constituencies are currently held by TDP. Purandeshwari clarified that she will contest from any of two these seats in the next elections if the party high command insists. But even if the high command allows that it is not easy for her to win defying TDP.
In the last elections, the NTR’s daughter was keen on contesting from Vijayawada or Narasaraopeta or Ongole Lok Sabha constituencies but Chandrababu Naidu did not agree and confined to the difficult Rajampeta constituency.
