Phone TappingAndhra Pradesh High Court had issued notices to the CBI as well as the Telecom Service Providers on the allegations of Phone Tapping of the Honorable Judges and the Opposition Leaders. They were asked to file their replies in four weeks’ time.

Sixteen respondents including the All India Internet Service Providers’ Association were served the notices. The petitioner sought CBI inquiry in the case but the court clarified that it would like to hear the Service Providers first before ordering for a probe.

Experts say that this could be a crucial development if the service providers put forth any clues or it will end up as a routine exercise. It is known that Andhrajyothy media house published a News Report saying that the Jagan Government is tapping the phone of judges so that a possible nexus of the judiciary and the main opposition party in the state can be established.

Also, their plans regarding various petitions can be known. Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a probe into the allegations.
