Criminal Conspiracy Charges on Lalu Prasad YadavIn what can be termed as a setback for Lalu Prasad Yadav in the decades-old Fodder Scam, Supreme Court has ordered that the leader is to be tried for criminal conspiracy. The Apex court ordered a separate trial for each offense.

About 900 crores were embezzled from the state exchequer for fictitious medicines and fodder for cattle over a period of 20 years. He is banned from running for office after being convicted and is doing de-facto politics since then.

This court order comes days after a News Channel releasing a Tape in which Lalu is taking instructions from Mafia don, Shahabuddin. Lalu Prasad’s Rashtriya Janata Dal has 80 seats in Bihar Assembly and is a key partner in the ruling government.
