Cricketing-Legend-Under-Fire-for-Peanut-DonationCricketing legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni earned the wrath of social media users when a piece of news came out claiming that he has actually donated peanuts for the relief of COVID-19 pandemic.

According to several news reports, MS Dhoni has donated Rs. 1 lakh to an NGO that is based in Pune, Mukul Madhav Foundation. When his net worth is Rs. 800 crores, his donation of a lakh despite being one of the richest cricketers has earned him the wrath of the netizens.

However, the cricketer’s wife Sakshi Dhoni took to social media and shamed the media that carried the fake news about Dhoni and his donation. According to her, Dhoni made no such donation, and she requested media not to spread fake news during the present sensitive times.

So, nothing is official about Dhoni’s donation, but other cricketers and ex-players like Sachin Tendulkar, Saurabh Ganguly, Gautham Gambhir etc. donated Rs. 50 lakh each for Coronavirus relief fund and others too have been donating liberally to the cause.
