Credibility-of-Times-Now-Survey-QuestionableThe Times Now VMR opinion poll survey for the upcoming general election once again hit headlines with fresh set of poll data analysis for the state. The battle clearly is not between NDA or the UPA. YSRCP and TDP are vying the top spot.

The vote share of the two parties are more or less at the same spot as compared to 2014 figures. There is a fall in the INC vote share as compared to March 2014 (from 2.8% to 2.20%). What comes as more surprise is the BJP’s figures.

While BJP got 7.2% in 2014 there is a fall in its vote share predicted for 2019 at 5.8%. But here comes the real dubious numbers. In the other parties (includes Jana Sena, CPI, CPI(M), BSP) vote share a figure of 4.9% (4% in 2014) makes one doubt the credibility of the survey and/or data analysis. There is no second thought to seeing that Jana Sena’s presence is hugely bigger than BJP at ground level. This alone makes one doubt the credibility of the Times Now VMR poll survey.
