Covid High Alert Issued For TelanganaThe first wave of Coronavirus resulted in a lockdown last year, for nearly two months. The second wave is now spreading rapidly across the country, more so than the first one. As a result, several North Indian states are in partial lockdown. The situation is especially worse in Maharashtra.

In view of the rapid spread of the second wave, the Telangana Director of Public Health, Dr. G Srinivasa Rao, has asked the people of the state to remain highly vigilant of themselves and those around them. He said that one is to be cautious and aware of the virus at all times.

Mr. Rao has asked everyone to wear masks at all times and to make sure that they do not contract the virus, as the second wave is highly vicious and takes just hours to spread within family members if even a single member contracts it. He asked the people to take care of themselves and not to neglect the situation just because there’s no lockdown.

A few days ago, Telangana minister KTR said that the probability of imposing a lockdown in the city is not probable, considering the current situation in the state. On the other hand, educational institutions have been shut down and theatres are also expected to go back to 50% occupancy.
