courtesy-tdp-mp-cm-ramesh-kadapa-steel-plant-might-be-a-realityThis is great piece of news for people of AP. Thanks to the relentless fight by Babu and Co especially MP CM Ramesh’s sit-in protest against the Centre, here comes the news that Centre is considering about setting up of the steel plant in Kadapa.

The Ministry of Steel has conducted a review with the task force formed by Centre and the state about the steel plant in the state. Orders were also passed to MECON company to take details from the AP government. Further MECON was asked to submit report with the rest of the details without waiting for details from the AP government.

Union Minister of Steel Birender Singh ordered to submit review report on lease of ores and also the availability of raw iron etc. The meeting also discussed the possibility of PPP in setting up of the plant along with other issues. Already a draft report has been submitted to Ministry of the Steel. Based on the report given by MECON task force will take a call. AP government has been reiterating the importance of having the steel factory for AP’s growth and rise. Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh sat on an indefinite hunger strike too protesting against the Centre for the steel plant despite no support from opposition parties. Thanks to his efforts and pressure on the Centre, Kadapa Steel Plant might soon be a reality!!
