The court reacted so on the petition of Traffic Activist Ramaswamy.

Jayalalithaa was immediately admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai on 22th September and from then there are several rumours about her health deteriorating and at one stage, they even said she is no more and the announcement will come after her heir is decided. But then Apollo Hospitals condemned the news and said she is positively responding to the treatment.

According to the latest health bulletin released last evening, Amma was on respiratory support and being administered with antibiotics to treat the infection. The doctors also advised further stay of Jayalalithaa at the hospital to continue the treatment. On the other side, the state administration has come to a grinding halt as the Chief Minister is not in a position to take the major decisions.
