A constable in the convoy of the Chief Minister is residing in the Gajullanka village of Guntur district. Family members say that he is in duty and did not come to the village in the last 20 days. Officials are busy tracing his close contacts. Officials say that the constable did not come in contact with the Chief Minister.
On the other side, there are reports that a constable working in AP DGP Gautam Sawang’s Office also tested positive for the contagious virus. Guntur district is the district with one of the highest number of Coronavirus cases in the state. The district has around 1,200 cases.
On the other side, the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country has crossed Five Lakhs. The number stands at 508,953 with 15,685 deaths, according to this morning bulletin of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
