Corona Crisis in Telangana: It Was Good Until It LastedThis is the story of Telangana’s handling of the Corona Crisis. The state has been consistently registered less than 20 cases for the past few days. The other day, the number of cases is just two. People of the state were overjoyed that the Government has efficiently handled the Crisis.

But then, things turned topsy-turvy when the test numbers were revealed. It was good until it lasted. Telangana shockingly performed less than 150 tests on Monday. It is the state which has performed the least number of tests in entire South India. According to ICMR, the state just tested 18,687 samples until 9 AM on April 27th.

At the same time, Tamil Nadu tested 87,605, Andhra Pradesh tested 68,034, Karnataka tested 38,207, and Kerala tested 22,954. That indicates Telangana is nowhere near the other states in testing. When the numbers of testing were out, people in the state were worried. KCR used to inspire a lot of confidence in the people with those straight to the point Press Meets but now, the people are scared.

They are now praying that the state has some right strategy not to do enough tests. In an interview with a media house, when questioned about the low testing, Minister KTR said, “We do not view COVID-19 Tests as a race among the states and states with a higher number of tests would not get any prizes”.

The statement certainly does not inspire confidence. In a poll that is currently underway on M9News Twitter Page, there are around 850 votes so far and the majority (56.3%) feels that the state is not testing enough.
