There are a lot of health bulletins from both official and unofficial sources explaining how the novel coronavirus can transmit from one individual to another. However, there is a lot of ambiguity regarding sexual transmission.
It is to be noted that studies and proper procedures are yet to be done to know if the virus transmits through sexual contact or not and so far, the virus strain isn’t found in the vaginal discharges of women or semen secretions of men.
However, with the information known as per the existing studies and observations, anal sex can be dangerous as COVID-19 was found in the excretory material of individuals infected with the virus.
As of now, it’s important to understand the need for not just social distancing, but self-distancing from our respective partners in the wake of unclear doubts concerning the transmission of the virus through sexual intercourse.
However, it is left for individual discretion. Anyway, once a person is tested COVID-19 positive, the person has to be kept in isolation. It’s only the sleeping vectors who pose big problems. What do you think?
