YS Sunitha’s petition against Avinash Reddy’s Anticipatory Bail came up for hearing today in the Supreme Court before the Chief Justice’s Bench. But the CJI adjourned the case to another date without a hearing.
“Five Judges were unavailable due to Corona so all the hearings in Court No.1 were posted to Friday,” the Chief Justice of India announced and posted the case to coming Friday.
Avinash Reddy’s father, Bhaskar Reddy is already arrested in this case. The Kadapa MP is of the opinion that he is next in the line for the arrest and so is seeking an anticipatory bail from the High Court.
Sunitha says this is an attempt to derail the investigation. CBI also informed the High Court that Avinash is not cooperating to the agency.
Earlier the High Court granted temporary relief to Avinash in this case. But the Supreme Court in the earlier hearing termed the order of the High Court as ‘Atrocious and unacceptable’.
With that, there are speculations that the Supreme Court’s order will go against Avinash.
