Corona Effect: Tirumala Closed for Pilgrims IndefinitelyCoronavirus effect has reached the World Famous Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam as well. In the wake of increasing cases in the country, TTD officials have convened a special meeting and decided to stop the Darshans for the pilgrims coming to the holy shrine.

TTD asked the pilgrims to vacate by 6 PM today. Darshans will also be stopped from the evening. The Tirumala – Alipiri ghat road from where the pilgrims come to Tirumala to be closed soon. Tomorrow morning, the second ghat road will also be closed.

TTD confirmed that all the Rituals will be performed to the Lord as usual during this close. There is no update about why the shrine will be open but the officials say they will be reviewing the situation every now and then and will make a decision. This is for the first time the shrine is going to get closed indefinitely for the pilgrims.

Already temples like Shirdi were closed. On the other side, the Coronavirus scare is gripping the entire country. The cases have peaked to 169. Andhra Pradesh has registered its Second Case in Ongole while Telangana’s count reached thirteen.
