Telangana High Court has become serious on the State Government for its poor handling of the Coronavirus Crisis. The court has asked the government to at least test 50,000 samples per day while the state is doing just around 20,000 tests.
The court has also asked the government to impose restrictions in public gatherings and limit the attendance to only 100. A G.O. to that effect is likely very soon. That means the film industry may have to stop the big Pre-release events very soon.
New releases have been organizing huge public functions. We have seen Nithin’s Rang De team planning three big pre-release events in the three regions of Telugu states. The filmmakers are worried if there can be restrictions on the audience allowed in the theaters in the future.
If that is the case, the biggies lined up summer will summer. The industry has just recovered from the crisis and is basking on the glory of back-to-back hits. Any new Corona restrictions will mean the momentum will be badly hampered.
